Shutter speed is the amount of time your camera shutter remains open to capture an image. The photography, the shutter speed is vital because it determines the amount of light falling on your camera lens. The longer the shutter is open, the more blurred a moving object will appear in your photograph. A fast shutter speed, which means keeping open the shutter for a shorter period of time, is better for capturing moving objects in a still manner.

Shutter speed is measured in fractions of a second. The brightness of your picture also depends on the shutter speed. Longer speed means brighter pictures and a shorter shutter speed means darker pictures.
